Project Overview:

Electrolux was looking for a built-in convection microwave oven to add to their Icon cooking line. Developing an entirely new oven takes up to two years in engineering, prototyping and testing. A quicker solution was to develop the Sharp countertop convection microwave oven into a built-in unit cutting this time in half.

My Contribution:

I was the lead designer on this project while I was employed at Sharp. I engaged in a cross-functional collaboration with with Electrolux designers to adhere to their design language and I worked with Sharp engineers on solving issues involved with taking an existing unit and applying a new design to it.
